SIXTH CHAPTER
ORGANIZATION STRUCTURE AND PARTY ADMINISTRATION

Article 16: The Supreme Council of the Development Party

  1. The Supreme Council of the Development Party, also referred to as the Supreme Council, shall consist of the following members:
    1. A President
    2. A Deputy President
    3. Four Vice-Presidents, representing:
      1. Brunei Muara District
      2. Belait District
      3. Tutong District
      4. Temburong District
    4. Twenty-two (22) Ordinary Members appointed by the President to fill the following positions or portfolios:
      1. Secretary-General
      2. Treasurer-General
      3. Head of Islamic Affairs
      4. Head of Non-Muslim Affairs
      5. Head of the Youth Assemblage
      6. Head of the Women Assemblage
      7. Head of Information and Public Affairs
      8. Head of the Discipline and Moral Conduct Committee
      9. Assistant Secretary-General
      10. Thirteen (13) other Ordinary Members and they can be appointed to head any new Committee or Bureau formed with the approval of a majority of the Members of the Supreme Council
  2. Members of the Supreme Council can apply to resign or be terminated at any reasonable time, provided that any application to resign must be agreed upon and approved by a majority of the other members of the Supreme Council, and any involuntary termination must be agreed upon and approved by not less than three-fourths or twenty-one other Members of the Supreme Council.

Article 17: Central Executive Council

  1. The Central Executive Council shall consist of:
    1. A President
    2. A Deputy President
    3. Four Vice-Presidents representing:
      1. Brunei Muara District
      2. Belait District
      3. Tutong District
      4. Temburong District
    4. A Secretary-General
    5. A Treasurer-General
    6. An Assistant Secretary-General
  2. Members of the Supreme Council who hold positions of the the same name as the positions in Clause 1(a) to Clause 1(f) Article 17 shall become Members of the Central Executive Council and they shall hold their positions for a term of three years or until the next Annual General Congress where elections for Members of the Supreme Council are held, or until he applies to resign and such application is agreed upon and approved by the majority of the other Members of the Supreme Council, or if terminated upon the agreement and approval of three-fourths or twenty one other Members of the Supreme Council.
