KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 23 (Bernama) -- The Sultan of Brunei, Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah will be making a two-day visit to Malaysia from Tuesday to attend the 12th Annual Consultation with Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi.

According to a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs today, the annual consultation would be held at the Pulai Springs Resort, Johor on Tuesday.

Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah will be hosted to a dinner by the prime minister on Tuesday evening while the Sultan of Johor, Sultan Iskandar, would host a luncheon on Wednesday.

The annual consultation provides a platform at the highest level to forge and enhance mutually beneficial bilateral cooperation between Malaysia and Brunei, as well as to exchange views on regional and international issues of common concern, the statement says.

The annual event manifests the close personal bonds of friendship between the leaders of both countries, the statement adds.
