For
almost a decade the complaints and grievances of farmers in
Lamunin fell on deaf ears. The much needed repairs of the
sole road used by the farmers to their plantations and bringing
its crops to sell in the market was badly damaged.
The Public Works Department
are currently repairing Jalan Piasan, the road in question,
to the relief of the residents in Lamunin.
It was learnt that there were
no actions being done to repair the road, after years of seeking
approval to the proper authorities. The matter was brought
forward to the National Development Party (NDP), who then
brought the matter to the proper authorities. Eventually repair
work on the road commenced.
Previously NDP had also highlighted
the issue in its website.
