“Food is a commodity which is not affected by recession. People will need to eat no matter what the state of economy the world is in,” said Datuk Hj Daud at a breakfast hosted by AgriDev held at Purnama Hotel in Limbang.
The breakfast was attended by Director of Agrinduz, Hj Matzin Hj Salleh; Encik Henry Som, the Member of Parliament for Bukit Mas; Dr Hj Abd Rahman Ismail, Member of Sarawak State Assembly for Bukit Kota, Limbang District Resident Maria bin Hasman, and Dr Nanang the permanent secretary at the Ministry of Industrial Development.
The session was held prior to the official launching of the fruit juice factory in Kg Gadong, Limbang.
Datuk Haji Daud once again expressed his gratitude to the Brunei firm in his speech when launching the factory. He said the factory was the first to be constructed by his ministry in rural area for the benefit of the population of Kg Gadong to provide employment for its young people. |
