NDP Youths doing painting works to raise fund |

The National Development Party's (NDP) Youths have taken up contracting job to raise funds for NDP's events for the upcoming grand celebration of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam's 60 th Birthday.
Eleven Youths took part in the painting of water mains along both sides of Jalan Jerudong. They had started their task from Simpang 216 in Jalan Jerudong to the end of Jalan Jerudong ( Jerudong Beach ).
The youths were paid by a contractor who is also an NDP member with the purpose to teach the youths that hard work equals rewards. The other objective is to raise funds to ensure the success of all the programs under NDP for His Majesty's upcoming Birthday Celebration.
This is part of NDP's youth leadership development program, which is to encourage youths to be independent and to train them with strong moral fiber as future leaders. This is inline with His Majesty's titah whereby His Majesty had stressed that the youths must be encouraged to lend their support to the nation and the community.
“They must work hard and be sincere. We must not waste our time when we are young. Use it as an opportunity to build and raise our nation to glory,” His Majesty's Titah during the opening of the International Youth Camp, on 9 th August 2001 .
