(NDP) is sponsoring three prominent PEMKAR drivers to the
prestigious FUTABA Championship Cup to represent Brunei Darussalam
in Indonesia.

Hj Jumat and the Director of Arts & Culture, Mahdi Hj
Mohd Suhaili as well as the special duties officer, Pg Kamraul
Zaman Pg Hj Salleh were at the airport to wish the participants
luck and in the upcoming race.
"We
are grateful for NDP in sponsoring us to represent Brunei
in the championship. We have been sending PEMKAR drivers to
the Futaba Championship from the very start of the championship
in 2000. We have been sending drivers ever since without fail"
said a PEMKAR driver.
This
year Hj Irman Suhardi Hj Mashud, Mohd Julaihi Hj Duming and
Chua Kang Ong will be representing Brunei Darussalam for the
championship.
All
the drivers are experienced in International races, participating
in high calibre competitions throughout the region. Hj Irman
Suhardi is the current Borneo and ASEAN Champion. Expectations
for him to succeed in the championship are very high.
"I
will do my best to make Brunei proud," said Hj Irman
humbly. His best achievement in such high calibre competition
is second place. He is well known in the international circuits
by top drivers in the region.
The
FUTABA Cup is getting bigger every year. Top factory drivers
from Singapore, Malaysia, Japan and Sweden are among the participants
in the high calibre competition.
The
FUTABA Cup is also an opportunity to test the skills, strengths
and weakness of drivers from around the world, prior to the
IFMAR World Championship in Brisbane.
