Five NDP members headed by the Secretary General Haji Aminorashid Haji Ghazali have left for Kuala Lumpur to attend the 52nd Annual Congress of Parti Islam se Malaysia (PAS) as observers.

The congress will be held on the 7th June at the PAS Kedah complex in Alor Star, and will end on the 9th June.

“The Registrar of Companies (ROS) has given its consent to NDP to attend the PAS annual congress as observers. A total of  seven representatives including the President, Yasin Affandy and Deputy President, Mahmud Morshidi Othman who are already in KL, will be attending the congress as observers”, stated Awang Haji Aminorashid.

He stated that the objective of the visit was to study how it will conducted with the idea of applying some of the best practices into NDP.

“NDP had recently held its first annual congress and though it was considered a success, there are still rooms for improvement. We therefore need to learn from the experiences of others”, said the Secretary General.

We would like to thank PAS for inviting us to attend their annual event and at the same time we also hoped that UMNO will extend an invitation to us as well, who will be holding their annual congress this July.

NDP would also like to thank ROS for its continuous support, understanding and approving our request to attend the congress.According to Haji Aminorashid NDP is hoping to establish good relations between political parties in ASEAN that share similar ideology with it.
