He also called on all NDP members to exercise cautions when leaving their homes as been frequently advised by the police.
They must ensure all doors and windows as well as their gates are securely locked before leaving the houses. They must also make sure not to leave ladders or any other objects at their compound that could be used later by burglars to beak into their houses, added Haji Daud.
He also reminded members to observe safe driving when on the road and to avoid parking their vehicles in dark and remote areas. He said it is important for all members to always be careful and not to become easy target for criminal elements to strike.
“What is important is that we must strive to help enforcement agencies maintain the peace and safety of the nation especially during this time of festivities. And the best way we could support them is to ensure our own safety first and the safety of others around us”.
“We must not leave all the responsibilities to maintain the public safety and peace to the authorities alone. This is not the right attitude as maintaining safety and peace is our responsibility too as peace-loving citizens”.
“The nation is now in joyous mood to celebrate the golden anniversary of the birthday of our beloved ruler. We want to see everything runs smoothly so everyone could enjoy the celebrations. Therefore we too must play our roles in ensuring the smooth running of the celebrations”, stated Haji Daud. |
