Being Closer To Allah True Meaning Of Peace: HM’s Titah

Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, Walillahil Hamd.

Let us glorify Allah together with praises on this noble day of Hari Raya Aidil Adha, which is full of blessings

As we glorify Allah (SWT), Allah too will elevate our status, as Allah does not reciprocate good deeds with evil.

But whenever we carry out good deeds, He will reward us in kind with blessings many times over.

By glorifying Allah, shows that we are close to Him. Those people that are close to Allah, are people whose lives enjoy peace.

On this day, we are witnessing millions of people glorifying Allah at the holy land of Mekah.

They are the best examples of people who are glorifying Allah.

In my opinion, these are the people that are receiving the true meaning of peace.

Because at this time, their tongues and their hearts are awash with Zikrullah, that brings them to the peaks of serenity.

Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, Walillahil Hamd.

To enjoy peace means being devoid of fear.

This is because everything goes along smoothly, without the presence of any disruptions or threats.

It is because of this, that any country will only be considered peaceful once it is free from any form of fear.

There are many countries in the world, regardless of size or strength that are unable to enjoy peace because they continue to be plagued by many fears.

There are those that are afraid of civil strife, afraid of war, afraid of natural disasters that strike often, afraid of poverty, afraid of a crippled economy, afraid of infectious diseases and many others.

All these destroy peace and harmony.

In this regard, our country, Brunei Darussalam, has portrayed its image as a keeper of peace.

This is not just sweet talk or pleasantries to sooth our hearts, but truly a reality, bestowed from Allah, who has promised to provide peace to those people that glorify Him.

Brunei is a country that is always with Allah, always offering praises and making it part of our daily routine in life.

Because of that Allah too, with his blessings, protects us away from any natural disasters, from any disruptive elements of peace.

God willing, I will always resolve to make Brunei Darussalam a zikir country that always glorifies Allah, so that we will always remain in His care, which is appropriate with His promise in surah al-Baqarah, verse 152, which reads: "If you always remember Me, I will always remember you in return."

What can be more perfect and pure than Allah's remembrance of us?

What can be more stable and solid than Allah's care towards his subjects?

After all, our country and we are also part of Allah's subjects.

Because of this, let us altogether try to seek His blessings and protection for everything in life, so that His blessings can pour onto our country and us all, in the form of security, peace and prosperity that is eternal.

We continue to hope that in whatever activity we have, that we have peace.

In managing and administering there is peace, in developing there is peace, in short, in nation-building; we will always continue to be under the protection of peace.

This is the `biggest ambition' for the whole ummah around the world.

Peace is something akin to a big river that irrigates all the crops.

If it has never dried up, then it can truly be called the source of prosperity and blessings.

My family and I would also like to take this opportunity, to sincerely and wholeheartedly offer "Selamat Hari Raya Aidil Adha" to all Muslims, wherever they may be, including those that are now in the holy land, that may Allah provide us all with blessings as well as receive all our loyal prayers. Amin.
