Agrinduz demonstrates machine effectiveness in Temburong

Good soil tillage is very important especially during the first part of soil preparation to plant paddy. In order to support the real paddy farmers in Temburong especially in paddy production, Agrinduz Development Sdn Bhd have conducted a series of land preparation using suitable machine in Temburong.  

With the support of a newly introduced rotovating machine suitable for paddy areas, Agrinduz Development Sendirian Berhad have initiated to help them in their efforts to have a good paddy harvest this coming paddy season.

The number of machines to be fabricated will depend on the response from the farmers in paddy areas.

“The most important things for Agrinduz Development Sdn Bhd are the promotion of these machines and to demonstrate them in the farmers’ respective fields and also using their workers or themselves as the machine operators,” said Agrinduz director.

The machines will be sold as cheaply as possible to farmers “The price should be as affordable as possible to the respective and responsive farmers. Agrinduz Development Sdn Bhd will also supply the parts needed and do the services for them at reasonable price,” stated the Agrinduz director.

Agrinduz Development is also considering allowing farmers to rent the machine at suitable and agreeable price at a minimum of 0.25 acre for the land preparation.

This coming Thursday, Agrinduz Development Sdn Bhd together with their Technical Director will be visiting the farmers at Negalang,, Lakiun and Pedayan  paddy areas to demonstrate the application of the machines to interested farmers from 9.00 am up to 12.00pm.

This will be followed by the giving away 500gm of paddy seeds to 14 farmers in these areas to be planted for this coming season. The presentation of the paddy seed will be presented by the Director of Agrinduz Development Sdn Bhd.

This variety is known as MARHANI Paddy introduced by Agrinduz Development Sdn Bhd. The paddy produced next year will be marketed by Agrinduz Development Sdn Bhd. Maturity is around 120 days and with an average of 3.0 m per ha under present farmers soil.

Agrinduz hopes that the department of Agriculture will make an effort to work together with Agrinduz to promote the two machines to farmers, bearing in mind it is locally fabricated and hopefully the prices will be accepted by farmers in Brunei Darussalam
