The first meeting of the agricultural bureau saw the appointment of new working committee members

The first official meeting of NDP's Agriculture Bureau, took place at Limbaruh Hijau in Jerudong on Monday. It was chaired by Awang Hj Matzin Hj Salleh, the Head of the Bureau.
The meeting discussed several key issues, especially on the road map and vision of the agriculture bureau to help advance agriculture and agro base industry in the country.
One of the interesting aspects of the road map, explained by the chairman, was the plan to visit farms and plantations in efforts to improve relations between farmers and NDP.
The visits will also focus on several other key aspects, one of which is to find the right formula to help farmers increase their production.
The other agenda of the meeting was the endorsement of the working committee members for Agriculture Bureau and Agro Base Industry (AABI).
Awang Haji Mahmud Morshidi bin Awang Othman was appointed as the special adviser for AABI.
The Vice Presidents of the four districts were also appointed as co-advisers.
Awg Hj Matzin Hj Salleh was appointed the head of the Agriculture Bureau as well as the Project Director for Agriculture Development, which will concern matters on fisheries, flora and fauna, food products and livestock.
Awg Hj Mohd Abihu Rairah Hj Ghazali was appointed as the secretary.
Awang Mahmud Shahrani Awang Othman was appointed as the Treasurer and the deputy director for Agriculture Development.
Dyg Hjh Kertini Orang Kaya PSD Abang Abu Hanifah was appointed as the Director of Manpower development and Agro Base Industry, meanwhile Dyg Susan Ameerah Abdul Aziz Abdullah was appointed as the Director of Marketing and Product Promotion, with Dyg Rosiah Alah as the Deputy Director.
Awang Wahab Tuah was appointed as the Director of Resource and Technical Services. Awg Hj Mohd Ali Mohd Noor was appointed the assistant director for Material Input, Awg Hj Mustapha Hj Abidin was appointed the assistant director for Fisheries, Awg Hj Ali Buntar was appointed the assistant director for Agriculture and Awg Zulazmi Abdullah was appointed the assistant director for Machinery and Equipment.
The permanent members for the AABI for the Temburong District are Awg Gelawat Okang, Awg Sichang Lupat and Dyg Norhemiemah Abdullah.
